I was confused at first but after seeing the ending and re-watching the episode, everything becomes clear! The execution is brilliant!

Hey! I use to check your blog because I really enjoy your reviews. We have similar tastes in series. I just finished Utena a couple of days ago. It was a debt I had with myself since 10 years ago. I must say that now this series is my top favorites. I choose to let you message in the review of ep 33 because I think that is the best episode of the series. This episode is a recap yes, but the main event here is something else and the way it was shown really blown me away. I mean not only the symbolism but the camera angles, the dialogues, everything is like a big metaphor and yet so blunt and direct.
