I wrote this more than a year ago now, and I can't believe how pushy some parts of this review were. Thinking back to the series, it's indeed true that there was quite a bit of content that wasn't really aimed at little children. From what I have seen of this anime, it is basically doing exactly what the game does. Taking the mick out of its self. The game is full of innuendo style jokes that little kids wont get. However the story in the game Disgaea is not your average melodramatic RPG story, it is a simple story about acceptance between differant races and people. I feel the anime did the game justice, stupid humour with the basic outline of the story. Check out the manga version (it's been publised into English), then you'll see what kinda series it REALLY is. I didn't (yet) play the game (as i'm still stuck in the neverending Lineage II), so i don't know how much the anime left. I only know of a very popular char called Plenaire that i didn't remember being present in the anime. After that i can only demand a second serie! The show isn’t for kids but for the game fans.
