I was the only person that liked the first season of Koisuru Tenshi Angelique, and most of that was from Marcel-sama and a hope to encourage people to give reverse harems a chance. Now they took out half my reason of watching season two. Meh, I’ll still try this out.

I didn’t think it was possible, but Angelique season two actually sounds worse than season one (even the character designs look more simplistic). Oh well, guess I don’t have to bother watching it now.

You can’t judge Major from watching the 3rd season 1st you completely wont understand it. It’s one of the few shows that actually follow a specific order of events and stick to it. Major is definitly a fantastic series and your gonna be missing out on some great stuff, but hey to each his own.

Record of Lodoss War is what instantly came to my mind as well when I read “pure fantasy”. I have a huge soft spot for anything fantasy related since I used to be a big fantasy fan before I got into anime, so a combination of the two is just win all around.

I can’t remember seeing a ‘pure’ fantasy series like this since Record of Lodoss War (Scrapped Princess was technically sci-fi when all was said and done) so it’s actually quite a rare thing.

The story is about the trio of Lief, Barda and Jasmine, so how their character dynamics will be key I think. From what I know of the story Barda often has to stop them fighting so it should be fun to watch :P

Yay, pure fantasy! I’ll be checking out Deltora Quest for sure, especially if you say the lead character isn’t your average shounen hero.

Yup, I completely agree with your comments on Deltora Quest. I kept my expectations purposefully low as it had the potential to be too kiddie, thankfully I was surprised how good the animation and the pacing was. The big CG battle at the beginning was unexpected and very well done I thought. I’m looking forward to seeing Jasmine next week.

You considering blogging it long term?
