Too many random game references, which was the same reason I didn't like Ragnarok The Animation. I realize it's supposed to be some kind of parody of online games (FFXI, perhaps?), but while .hack /sign (not roots) somehow managed to pull off a decent cyberpunk storyline, this doesn't work. Maybe the characters are too deliberately sterotypical and knowing the premise, the setting feels artifical.
