					<description>The only reason I can think of for having M and N introduced at the same time would be to progress the plot quickly as possible. Sure, they could've done some sort of flashback later on, but that would disrupt the flow of events. 

I haven't taken the liberty of reading the manga myself, so what I've said is purely speculation.</description>

That bugged me as well, I thought the whole episode in general had too many uncanny coincidences to be believable.

Added to that, I hate Melo. N is a decent successor to L though. And interestingly enough, I've made those matchstick towers as well XD I tend to turn anything I can find into a puzzle when I'm bored.</description>
