The Bara Hime is definetly Shuurie’s mother! But I can’t understand the second season without any english subs because I only speak spanish and fluent english!So thats why I have to read typed information about the second season episodes, so if someone finds out where the second season episodes with english subs are at other than episodes 1-2 of the second season I would be etrnally greatful!Arigato! I haven’t heard anything yet, but there is a possibility that people are indeed planning such a thing. It’s like how Simoun-fans acted when Doremi kept slacking off with their Simoun-releases. Still, don’t get your hopes up too high until this is actually confirmed.

Yeah… Shouka was assigned the task of assasinating the Barahime, but instead fell in love with her… the result was the birth of Shuurei ^^ btw does anyone know whether there is some fansub group willing to sub Saiunkoku Monogatari 2nd season despite the license???

You know, I finally realize what people were talking about with the “Rose Princess”. I admit that I totally forgot about her, but now it seems to totally fit. I need to rewatch that third episode sometime, as I can’t really remember the story of what happened. -_-

thanks for the summaries. As to the “Bara-hime” Shuurei told Ryuuki the story about the Rose-princess when she was his consort. The story was told later as well: Ryuuki to Ran Shogun and Shuurei to Seiran while they all were on their way to Sa Province. I’m under the impression that the Rose Princess was actually Shuurei’s mother–the story seemed to parallel her life and she’s from the same ‘clan’ as Eiki and her granddaughter–women with special abilities. Shuurei’s mother had healing abilities which she lost somehow once she was married to Shouka, but she was able to make Shuurei better when she died. I think there’s more information in the novels–I’ve only read a few summaries of them.

If I’m not mistaken, apparently it’s going to again consist of 39 episodes from what I have read.
