3000 Comments - What Fall-Show do you want me to blog?
I was pretty surprised when I realized that I already reached the benchmark of 3000 comments in such a short while. Especially considering that it took me 16 months to reach the first 1500, and only four to reach the second 1500 comments. Last night, ap was the one who made it, on my post about Bokura no - 11. While the people from Sea Slugs always use some kind of fan-art, I’m a horrible drawer, I decided to have a little contest for these kinds of benchmarks. Basically, just post a comment, leaving the name of an anime that is slated for the fall-season, and I’ll blog the one with the most votes, no matter what.
The last time I did this, Claymore came out, which turned into a really interesting experience. The rules are:
- To validly post, just drop a comment leaving your selection. I selected this system above a poll on purpose, because I really want this to be a choice of my readers, instead of random people who will vote randomly on any poll they run into.
- I accept any shows that are listed on moonphase under the fall-season or just 2007, without any specific date yet announced apart from the year. For an english version of this list, go here.
- Each person can select up to 2 shows. Since ap was the one who made te 3000th comment, his votes count for three.
- The voting stays open until August 31th, after which the show with the most votes will be blogged as soon as it airs. Be careful, though. If I don’t like it, I reserve the right to bash it. If you want to return on a later date, you’ll find this post under the category “Random Posts”.
And finally, let me thank all the people who dropped a comment, and made sure that this benchmark could be reached. You’re all very appreciated. ^_^

I know you are not into mecha series…but I would love to see Gundam OO series bloged, maybe it can turn into an interesting experience too =)

So I see that Gunslinger Girl is taking an early lead. Please do note that accordig to Moonphase, it isn’t sure yet whether it’ll air in 2007 or not. If it doesn’t, and Gunslinger Girl does end up with the most votes, I’m going to go for the series with the second-most amount of votes, simply because I do not want to wait that long. :P

Soon enough, star crossed will be over 9000…
Instead of a new show I’d recommend you watch some old ones instead. Like Hard Core Slice-o-Life Aria the Animation, or something.
Other than that, just try out some TEROGE adaptation. EF anime or Kimikiss.

Voting for Jyushin Enbu - Hero Tales, it looks very very like the art of Full metal Alchemist mangaka, well I am not good at Japanese so I don’t know if it ’s the same author or not.
And Rental Magica,story and characters seems interesting.
Wanna vote for Velvet under world and gunslinger girl too but as it is not gonna be in Fall season….

Ghost Hound is also from Production IG, just like Seirei no Moribito, so I suspect some similarities. As for Bakumatsu, there aren’t really samurai-shows this season, but I think Hero Tales comes close.

Gundam OO: It seems interesting, being different than the previous two series. Im sure you will like it if character development is good enough.
Ghost Hound: As always, I expect Production I.G. to deliver a very good experience, with very high quality animation and art.

I vote for Clannad.
As I said, I think you probably had a bad first impression noticing that this would be a romantic visual novel adapted into anime which will only rely on cute stereotyped characters to sell. This is obviously not the case, Clannad will follow Kanon’s steps to give us a touching story where the main hero won’t sleep with all the girls and where all the girls aren’t interested only in the hero’s engine.
I am not asking you to adore this anime, just to give him a chance. You can seriously be surprised. Oh, and by the way, I’d also recommend Kanon (the 2006 version), probably the best anime in its genre.

About the second show, I’d say “ef - a tale of memories”.
The trailer shows that there won’t be a bunch of girls in love with the hero, but other couples. The synopsis of this series reminds me of the charming mysticness of Air and… the idiocy of School Days. But now that I heard that there will be more than one couple in this anime, I’m sure I can expect more elaborated romance, at least more than usual harem-shows.

I vote fore Gundam 00 as my first choice…
After watching the last PV I have high hopes for it…its also comming in HD, that is a big plus for me :P
As for the second one…hell I can`t decide…
Im really not looking forward to anything more so I`ll leave it like this, whichever comes second is fine xD

Just finished the first season of Wellber no monogatari… It was good, so the second season as my first and..I was thinking about Gunslinger Girl, but because it doesn`t air, gundam 00

Yup. Kyoto Animation is doing only one anime per season, and Clannad will be quite long (24 episodes, the visual novel’s script is long enough), so I think you guys will have to wait until april for your Second Season, while a bunch of people like me will be enjoying Clannad. :P
You dropped Haruhi Suzumiya First Season after four episodes, psgels ? Ha ha ! I wasn’t bored enough to drop the series at this point. Sure, this series has its good moments (the Remote Island, Haruhi’s live concert, the ending (which was kinda intelligent compared to the stupidity of the previous episodes)), but taken globally, it’s, sorry guys, a piece of boring crap full of useless and boring fillers. >_>
Well, I suppose the flawless technical production and the moe factors made it so popular.
Well, I now suppose that Gundam 00 will win and that Clannad won’t be blogged. Am I wrong ?

Just finished reading your monthly summary…I was not aware of this thing until now^^
As for my choices:
Ghost Hound: Because I expect it to be as good as Seirei no moribito because it is from the same company that`s working on it…that show simply amazes me with a good combination of art, animation, music and novel-like storyline.
Gundam oo..or OO, whatever: Just because I love mecha series…and lately there has been nothing good for me. Gurren Lagann may have good animation and everything, but maybe I need a more matture story.
Also heard that the director did FMA…that sure makes me hope for a lot.
