It's a really great manga, even if it's not known by many people. I haven't read the manga, but the anime ending was also pretty sad. The last few episodes had to be watched with a box of tissues at my side. Even the site of the earth at the end made me bawl again. ^^; Sure, sometimes it was cheesy, sometimes it was a little too blunt with its message, but this story has all the elements of an epic myth--no wonder it's being retold again, all these years later. Thank you for blogging. I loved this show! I finally watched this series, mostly because you kept posting about it. ;)

I like how Keith managed to bring himself together and NOT shoot Jomy like he did in manga (ARGHHGHGHHH)... I didn't quite buying that Jomy would get killed by that sword (even though it does seem to have got his spine)... it seems that he simply chose to just fall asleep and let Terra take his life. However, I like the part where he hands over the headgear to Tony. It was pretty sad in the manga that Tony and the other children have to leave, and I really like how he is now in realization and is protecting everyone else. The ending is not a happy ending, but it's indeed much happier than the manga's ending.
