Saiunkoku Monogatari - 60
I expected the quiet mood to last for a few more episodes, but this episode was surprisingly dark, obviously I loved it, and I’m beginning to understand why Tantan-kun was included in this show: his nonchalant nature clashes incredibly with that of Shuurei. At one point, we see a conversation between him and Shuurei, where he rather rudely wonders why Shuurei puts so much effort into investigating the art counterfeiters, when there are others who can do it just as well. Let’s just say that Shuurei starts yelling. ^^;
The second half of the episode also reveals some more information about Kailing, and why she was so passionate about the art counterfeiters: it’s her daughter who’s been making them! I’m now beginning to understand how the creators are planning to trump the disease of the past arc. Apparently, her daughter is small, but very talented at painting; and we can only guess at this point how many other children have been used for this.
It also seems that the mysterious guy we’ve been seeing at the past few episode is Hakumei’s brother, also in love with Shuurei. They also seem to be related to Kailing, which means that they’re going to play a major role in this arc. I really like the direction in which it’s going so far, and this arc can potentially be the best arc of the series.
Karin’s the sister of Heki Hakumei desune~ (haven’t seen him for a while ^^6) i really want to see the video clips starting from ep 18 and on… Q_Q anybody know where to get them?

Ah, don’t tell me I’ve forgot to put Hakumei’s name in? Hehe, fixed now. ^^;
Anyway, you can get the latest files on Tokyo Toshokan, if I’m not mistaken. ;)

I just said that to Shun. :P Tokyo Toshokan should have the latest episodes, though the subs are only at episode 44, if I recall correctly.

ah, psgels? i’ve watched the episode already, and the “mysterious guy we’ve been seeing at the past few episode is Hakumei’s brother, also in love with Shuurei” is actually NOT San-ta, NOR was it Hakumei’s brother. you’ve mistaken 2 identities already ^^6 okay, let me list up the people:
-the one who’s been in the brown cloak all this time and sold the “golden raccoon” to tantan and also been spotted by Seiran as “mysterious” –> is another person who’s hasn’t officially appeared yet in the anime (but in the novel, yes. and i know who he is ^^6) he will reveal himself later on as the story unfolds.
- San-ta didn’t spot Shurei UNTIL this episode when he saw Shurei with Tantan. San-ta was just walking along the road and spotted Shurei w/ Tantan, and because Shurei was so close and was yelling at Tantan, San-ta “tries” to hid himself among the crowd not to be noticed my Shurei.
-the person who asked Ryuuki and the group for a girl named Karin, and was “denied” by Shuei that he ever heard of a girl like her, and tried to find Hakumei, IS Hakumei’s BROTHER-IN-LAW, Karin’s HUSBAND (so of course Hakumei has to call him “ni-san”). his name is “Ouyou Jun.”
