Lol this is exactly like the hustlers I see at the greyhound station.

It’s not that Kaiji is supid. Hustling is never about brain, it’s always the emotion and the sense of lost that gets them. There are plenty of intelligent people who got hustle when they are completely lost. This show portraits that perfectly.

Definitely in agreement with you on Kaiji. It’s definitely the most fascinating show this season. Feels like it has everything going for it at the start. Simple yet devious premise, and the start of an underdog come from behind story. Talking in sentence fragments.

Kudos to Triads’ subs. I was wondering when the subs for this show were coming out. Madhouse did a good job on bringing out the atmosphere of the story. It’s definitely one of the more unique themed ones of this season.

hell yeah,i love gambling (good thing i’m lucky lol),thanks psgels,wouldn’t know about this show without you,it doesn’t show up on Tokyo Toshokan but triad is subbing it,they have the first 2 episodes out.

Wow, all your “top” anime are those I dislike, except for Kaiji (my fav) and Shugo Chara (mildly amusing). Kaiji is obviously the best anime this season, along with Moyashimon and Kimikiss and Gundam 00 and YUA.

My only complaint with Kaiji so far is that one week is far too taxing on my patience, waiting to find out what happens next. :P

And yes, I HIGHLY recommend you go and check out Akagi ASAP. It helps if you know a thing or two about mahjong, but it’s not necessary.
