I originally thought that Gillenormand was Marius's uncle because the words for uncle and grandfather are so incredibly similar (oji-san and ojii-san respectively). In random news: I finally learned the word for convict in Japanese, even though I don't know how to spell it. ^^, I can't believe this series is almost over! I know, Mme.
