This series has to be the best of the season! I know it requires brain to watch and most people probably have to rewatch the series in order to understand the plot. The way Popo let Kaiba go to the ship really surprised many people until the watched toward the end and realized Popo's ambitions. Anyways This is a must watch for the year. I hope people will remember this kind of anime, rather than the great graphics one with crappy plots.

This episode also shows him alongside a companion. Was that the same one-eyed bird we saw in the previous episode? It would make sense if the bird threw its memory-chip inside the ship

Watch the last scene of the first episode very closely. This helicopter-like creature floats into the spaceship while the police guy tries to fend off the one-eyed stork-thing. You can see it reflected in the helmet of the stork-thing.

Thank you very much for the short synposis on this episode, it's not that hard to understand but with your summaries it makes it easier to watch. I really love the opening, its one of the few anime songs in English that don't have any Engrish and is very meaningful, I didn't really see the OP as an indication of the characters swithcing bodies, I thought it was just a really cool animation technique. I really love the director for this show, he's worked on some great stuff and his style is just unique. Apparently this series is a sci-fi romance based on what the director has said, but I haven't seen any sign of romance, I guess later on, it is still early.
