She's a strong yet kind character. Ok that last bit sounded a bit too pretentious in a review-y way but the point stands. And also, yes, Doumeki's grandfather does get along well with Watanuki. Quite a bit of compatibility, there. This is among the best parts of the manga, and I'm glad to see it animated here.
