They take their science pretty seriously - much more seriously than any recent American show I've seen that's targeted for the same age group - and even had help from the Japanese space agency JAXA. Seriously, that's one of the greatest shows I've ever seen, and you would *LOVE* it. Amazing characterization, outstanding plot progression, the highest degree of realism I have EVER seen from ANY anime, and one of the best endings of any show, period. Planetes is just head and shoulders above every other sci-fi anime, and is one of those that everyone who enjoys sci-fi OR anime should see. -Tom You need to watch Planetes!
