If I recall we first saw them before or during the beginning of the teen episodes during a battle. The eggs that we saw were implanted in one of the islands. Can someone please confirm, because I don't have any episodes prior to about episode 15 available now? I also like Ranka, but I haven't seen anyone commenting on this particular episode slamming her, which I am happy about. I've seen untrained people in critical situations utterly frozen, unable to move. It's natural for people who have no combat experience to walk around in a zombie-like state after seeing the horrors and chaos of war. Being the focal point of what people think is their only salvation from the enemy is a LOT of pressure. How many 16 year old girls you know would hold up well under that kind of stress?
