Makes him a bit of a tragic character who is just too good in what he doesm, but keep losing his loved ones and friends. The story arc "The Psycho Gun" actually is my favorite story arc from Cobra, I don't know how well it has been transferred to the screen. I still ahve to see Cobra The Animation

He seems far to serious. There's also some very bad cell shading & computer animation in this first episode. The old cobra character was so much fun because he almost never took a situation seriously, and the animators back then did a very good job showing that. In this new series he pretty much seems like a piece of shit, the old cobra was a like-able and funny guy :D The fan service was expected, there was a lot of it in the old series to, but it seems pretty forced here. The sphinx guy who had the cyborg catgirls chained up... my god, what were they thinking?! I downloaded the first episode from tokyo tosho because I had no idea what it was. I watched the intro saw a bunch of cards, summoned monsters and some kids flashing said cards. Discouraged I decided to at least skip through the episode, but no, this wasn't my cup of tea. I'm betting it will make a lot of stores selling those trading cards happy though.
