I only started watching it on episode 5. When I discovered it. There is so much anime out there that it is hard to keep up and find the ones I like the most :) I am a huge samurai X / rurouni kenshin fan and besides Shigurui being one of the best animes I have ever watched out of many this anime seems very interesting. The story in general doesn't shine because of its awesome plot, but instead more due to its awesome character developement. You can really see them grow, especially Rin - she even ended up saving Manji in one of the latest installments ^-^ (wonder when or if he'll get his arm back...)
