She has her own life/personality, but the God of Hell uses her as I said just a little bit ago. As about a season 4, I have heard there is still talk about it. Pretty much, they have not yet decided if they wanted to make another season or not. And if you listened with Tsugumi about Hajime, He got so tired. Think of what happened. She pretty much said she sent him to hell. So in other words, there won't be anymore Hajime and Tsugumi. Kikuri isn’t actually the god of hell (the spider) Kikuri is just a host. Ai and her clients have really gotten some more depth to them than before, and the stunning art never seems to disappoint me. There were some mediocre points in this season, but the ending finished strong, and i can't wait for another season! But I want Hajime and Tsugumi to come back...maybe even help Ai if they can. That would be awesome. I miss those two :( This season was great, considering i just finished season two in time to watch season three. I stumbled upon your blog about 4 weeks ago and if it hadn't been for your blogging of Jigoku Shoujo I would have never even taken a look at it. A great series, I do hope that there will be more. I doubt that they would have gone through the trouble of making Ai the Jigoku Shoujo again if they weren't going to make a fourth season. Either way as you stated it does stay true to Ai's true character. So this could end up being the last season with just an "open" ending.
