Another 5 minutes of bullshit about carbon markets, carbon credits etc etc. Exactly how does a country get ravaged when it runs out of carbon credits? Anyone explain that? Are we to be believe some computer data makes it so?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/cif-green/2010/apr/01/carbon-emissions-european-union-pollution

Seriously bubble economies!? She couldn't even explain that properly or was even close to it:

http://www.economywatch.com/economy-articles/bubble-economy.html

When were the price of carbon credits overvalued? They never were, therefore this couldn't have happened.

Eu switching over to a bloc economy? The Eu is already a world trade bloc called EFTA see:

http://www.economywatch.com/international-trade/bloc-trade.html

How does having the head-lease on oil fields suddenly make a country have a carbon rating of 1.15. Or how and why would financial institutions be pouring money into them, in addition surely if all the banks have bought the same "product" why is it only the "midscale" banks going into insolvency; why is it only then are they and only they unable to pay back their debts? In addition trades never take seconds to clear do they, and who paid the interest on the $130 trillion dollar loan?

One other thing, what has trading carbon credits got to do with the frickin water level. Guess what water levels will rise and fall anyway its called the TIDAL RANGE caused by the Moon's gravitational influence. If we're talking about raised sea-levels due to global warming that's a GLOBAL AVERAGE not a local phenomenon.

The USA bombing the Maldives because of a company. Yeah right. Don't they call that PROTECTIONISM!? better learn that one S-L.

Sugey! you've just been treated to 10 minutes of pseudo-economics, pseudo-science, virtual-bollocks and a ass-gaping plot hole that has sunk the entire series. I will keep watching though just to find out who's behind Atlas and to mock the series.

S-L is a series when people who don't know about 1)economics 2)science sell a story made entirely on bullshite. Throw in some jargon and everyone's impressed.

Those who say VC was boring, I beg to differ; at least it had a simple story with a few plot twists and solid characters (there was at least one gay guy), not far out wacky weirdos with no explanation for their powers, knowledge or anything.

@Zelda: Momoko made her a new boomerang, that's partly why Kuniko is practicing with it, getting used to the way it behaves.

I think this episode did a fine job of braiding together the separate strands of the story, and even added a bit more depth to Ryouko.

I don't know about there being links between Karin and Nagiko, but I wonder if the screaming girl in the eye-lined shrine (I didn't catch her name when Ryouko said it) isn't another avatar like Medusa.

You're right that this series keeps opening up possibilities for future development. I'm growing increasingly interested in reading the novels.

Episode was solid, per usual. The somewhat odd CGI makes me ohh-err a bit, plus the overdramatised hacking wizard scenes, but I guess it's all part of the charm. The rest is still entertaining and interesting to watch, and Shangri-La has become one of my current favourites.

So yeah, i'm still liking the show and looking forward to it's direction.

I LOVE KUSANAGI IN THIS EPISODE!

He's so entertaining and I love it how naturally honest and pretty rude he was to Mikuni! Haha! And it's so cool that even putting aside that he had that sword, he's still no ordinary person!

And oh, though I still like Valkyria Chronicles . . . for me I can't compare it to Shangri-La. S-L is still more level higher than VC. Hehe.
