It's a long series with many episodes to go but I'm almost beginning to wish Kou find a different romantic interest. He really seems pretty unhappy and being with Aoba doesn't give much relief. It just reminds him of a past he never got to appreciate nor understand completely. Aoba for her part is still confused with her feelings and I guess that was expressed at the pool.
